Leading price comparator Carrentals.co.uk is warning anyone with Easter travel plans to book their car hire early to avoid paying over the odds, with the lack of availability being experienced by car hire firms leading to rising prices across the board.

Carrentals.co.uk is reporting a 13%* rise in the average price of car hire in Geneva for Easter this year, in comparison to the prices quoted for rental over Easter 2009.

According to the car hire comparator, some of the most popular destinations for Easter bookings this year are Alicante, Faro, Rome and Tenerife , with Brits keen to make the most of the bank holiday weekend.
