Bournemouth venue to welcome Van Morrison
Legendary songwriter Van Morrison is set to perform live in Bournemouth on Sunday March 4th.
As one of just seven UK dates the Northern Irish singer has scheduled for 2012, the concert at the Pavilion Theatre should be a highlight of the year for fans of the artist known as ‘Van the Man’.
With six Grammy awards and countless other accolades to his name, the 66-year-old performer has been thrilling audiences around the world for many years.
Morrison started out as the singer in Belfast band Them before his solo hit Brown Eyed Girl took his career in a new direction, leading to the seminal 1968 album Astral Weeks.
Moondance, his third studio LP from 1970, was also critically acclaimed and the artist has continued to please his legions of fans with more recent records such as Magic Time and Keep it Simple.
Tickets for the Bournemouth show are available online, priced between £45 and £75 plus booking fee. Doors are due to open at 19:45 GMT.
