Attend Summer Festival Fundraiser in Seoul this March

Music lovers can hear some of Asia’s most talented up-and-coming rockers at a special Summer Festival Fund Raiser concert that is being arranged by event organiser Exit Six.

Taking place at the Strange Fruit venue on March 10th 2012, it aims to showcase some of the peninsula’s best acts, while also raising money for Exit Six to stage a larger-scale free festival in the summer.

Performers at the fundraiser include local acts such as Frenzy, Swimmingdoll and Angry Bear, as well as Japanese band Icon Girl Pistols.

Tickets for the concert cost 5,000 won (£2.80), with proceeds helping to support Exit Six’s plan to create an inclusive bilingual summer festival that can be enjoyed by those who cannot typically afford to attend live music shows.

The performances get underway at 20:00 local time with a 45-minute set by Frenzy, with Icon Girl Pistols bringing proceedings to a close shortly before midnight.

Strange Fruit is located in the Hongdae region of Seoul and is a cosy and intimate concert venue, which typically opens between 19:00 and 01:00 each evening.

Rock fans can find a comprehensive assortment of Seoul hotels at AsiaRooms.com, including the IP Boutique Hotel Itaewon.
