iLight Marina Bay exhibition to showcase unique art in Singapore
Singapore will once again be playing host to the iLight Marina Bay exhibition this March, a special waterfront event that will showcase unique artworks created using green lighting.
The second edition of Asia’s first and only sustainable light art festival will be held between March 9th and April 1st 2012, with 30 innovative and
environmentally-friendly works set to transform the area into a spectacularly colourful art space.
Focusing on the theme of “light meets Asia”, the festival will present works from artists hailing from a range of backgrounds, including contributors from China, Japan, Indonesia and the US, as well as Singapore itself.
In addition to the artworks, attendees can expect to enjoy a wide array of complementary activities and programmes, including guided light walk tours, educational talks and workshops, as well as a night picnic and carnival.
The organisers are hoping the 2012 event can build on the success of the inaugural iLight exhibition, which took place in 2010.
It will open nightly between the hours of 19:30 and 23:00 local time.
Art enthusiasts can browse a comprehensive selection of Singapore hotels at AsiaRooms.com, including the Fragrance Hotel.
