See Olli Fraenkel’s The 3 Dimensions of asie one show in Bali
Bali’s Ganesha Gallery is hosting an exhibition called The 3 Dimensions of asie.one over the coming weeks, which will showcase striking artwork that evokes the spirit of surf culture.
The show is dedicated to the works of German-born Bali resident Olli Fraenkel, a former graffiti artist who used to work under the name of asie.one, but has now turned his attentions to canvas murals and surfwear designs.
His works are defined by their exuberance, dynamism and surprising complexity, with his graffiti background and love of surfing culture helping to create art that is bright and exciting.
Fraenkel’s inspirations include the famous 1960s New York graffiti artist Taki183 and the tribal art of Indonesia’s past.
The organisers said: “The vast cultural similarities and divides between the islands of Indonesia truly inspired him to venture deeper into his love of the world of art and to share his style of artwork with communities.”
Dedicated to showcasing art that explores Balinese culture and the link between east and west, the Ganesha Gallery is open between 09:00 and 18:00 local time each day.
Art lovers can choose from a generous array of Bali hotels at AsiaRooms.com, including the Jayakarta Bali.
