See England v Holland at Wembley

Holland will be the visitors when England play their first match of 2012 at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday February 29th.

With the Euro 2012 championships just a few months away, the friendly fixture in north London will give Fabio Capello a chance to experiment with his tactics against one of Europe’s top sides.

Dutch manager Bert van Marwijk has talented Premier League players such as Robin van Persie, Rafael van der Vaart and Dirk Kuyt at his disposal, as well as the likes of Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben.

However, with Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard recently returning to fitness and young talents such as Danny Welbeck and Daniel Sturridge staking a claim for inclusion, Capello will be hopeful of guiding England to victory.

The two sides last faced each other in August 2009, when Jermain Defoe scored twice to cancel out goals from Kuyt and Van der Vaart in a 2-2 draw at the Amsterdam Arena.

Standard tickets for the match at Wembley are priced between £35 and £65, with spaces in the family enclosure available for £20 for adults and £10 for children under 16. The game is due to kick off at 20:00 GMT.

Football fans can browse a variety of London hotels at LateRooms.com, which recommends the London Serviced ApartHotel for those seeking comfortable accommodation close to the West End.
