The Southbank Centre will host the sixth annual London Literature Festival this July, featuring notable writers such as John Pilger, Clive Stafford Smith and Will Self.
The London literati will be out in force to celebrate the written word, with readings, lectures and other events taking place between the 5 th and 13 th July. Amongst the highlights is the UK premier performance of ‘The Word For Snow’, a rarely performed one act play by Don DeLillo, better known as the author of hugely revered novels such as Underworld and White Noise.
Other highlights include the country’s largest poetry slam ‘Shake the Dust’, and ‘Capital Stories’, which takes a look at the city itself, as seen through short stories, poetry, folk tales and live debate.
