Africa Safaris to the Lake Nakuru National Park Tour is the most popular among conference delegates

Nairobi Kenya, 2016-Jul-22 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — Each country in Africa is different. We acknowledge that it is impossible to capture the spirit and culture of an entire country in one paragraph. The best and most popular areas in Africa for safaris are East Africa precisely Kenya which offers vast plains and roaming packs of extraordinary beasts.

Lake Nakuru National Park Tour

The Lake Nakuru National Park tour which can also be booked online through Get Your Guide booking site or has become increasingly popular to the delegates attending conferences in Nairobi Kenya. The main reason being the proximity to Nairobi and the time taken which is about 11 hours. While delegates spend their time in meeting rooms and discussion at the end of the day they end up very tired. To unwinding before going back to their countries of residence an 11 hour tour from Nairobi comes in handy. Ones get to see the countryside of Nairobi as well as wildlife and birds at the National Park. The tour is mainly set to depart at 6am and return at 6pm making it easy for clients to connect to their international flights which are normally scheduled in the late evenings. However, if the flight is early one can request for an early arrival or take a full day tour in Nairobi visiting the Nairobi National Park, Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe center, Karen Blixen with lunch at the famous top 100 restaurants of the world the Carnivore Restaurant. Better still a short morning tour to the Nairobi National Park and elephant Orphanage can suffice.

Travel Destination for 2016 is Kenya -Get the thrill and plan Early

Nairobi, Kenya, November 09, 2015 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — Destination Kenya

Are there any destinations in the world which can evoke such powerful imagery as Kenya, one of East Africa’s premier destinations? Indeed, the acacia-dotted savannahs of Kenya re inhabited by classic African animals, from towering elephants and prancing gazelles to prides of lions and stalking leopards. The country also plays host to the annual migration, the largest single movement of heard animals on the planet. However, what makes Kenya truly stand out as a travel destination is the vast palette of landscapes that comprise this visually stunning country. While the flaunted image of the savannah of Maasai Mara perhaps the single key selling point for Kenya’s tourist industry, intrepid travelers can also explore the barren expanses of the Rift valley, the glacial ridges of Mt. Kenya and the beaches of the Swahili coast. This rich diversity of quintessential African environments present opportunity for hiking, trekking, diving sailing and so much more But to simply focus on Kenya’s wildlife and nature is to ignore the people that make this country so dynamic. Kenya is a thriving multicultural country with a wide cross-section of everything that is classic and contemporary Africa. Everyday life brings together traditional tribes and urban families, ancient customs and modern sensibilities. And, while much of the East Africa has suffered from bitter feud between divided ethnic groups, Kenya has usually been regarded as an island of stability in a trouble region. Kenya may be a somewhat more intimidating destination that it once was, but remains one of the undisputed highlights of Africa. Check your inhibition, ignore the hype, bring your sense of adventure and get ready for some truly inspiring and life-changing travel.

Planning a trip to Kenya is a pleasure in itself: the country is so versatile that it’s virtually a blank canvas, catering equally for the thrill-seekers and sun-seekers, budget backpackers and high-end rollers, those who like it tough and those who just want to get going. Whatever you do here, you’ll discover that it’s very straightforward to sort yourself out of the ground and advance plans are very necessary.

When to go to Kenya: The main tourist season is January, February and March, when the weather is hottest and driest. At this time, the animals in the wildlife parks tend to congregate more around the watercourses, making them easy to spot. However, the parks can get crowded and rates for accommodation soar –also make sure you avoid Christmas and Easter unless you want to pay much higher prices. From June to October, the annual wildebeest migration takes place, with thousands of animals streaming into the Maasai Mara National reserve from Serengeti. During the long rains (the low season April to May) things are much quieter.

Itineraries and Classic Routes
Classic routes put you face to face with the continent’s most charismatic creatures. Safari njema – have a good trip!
Departing from Nairobi, Kenyas capital city one can enjoy the Nairobi city tours at any point where low or high season. Our first port of call is Maasai Mara National Reserve Between July and October, the Maasai Mara plays host to the annual wildebeest migration, which offers a definitive slice of safari Africa. Even if you can’t time your visit to coincide with this epic event, the Mara is still worth visiting as the famous national park in Kenya. The northern trails leads to Samburu National Reserve, a dusty, red, desert habitat that shelters’ species of animals not found elsewhere in Kenya. The safari trail continues down to Amboseli National Park, which is regarded as one of the best places in Africa to get up close and personal with the heads of grazing elephants.

In search of the big five
The ultimate goal of any safari-gore is to spot the Big Five, namely lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. While you’re going to have to put in a lot of hours to spot them all-particularly the elusive leopard – this itinerary will have you ticking them off the list in no time. Start your search at Lake Nakuru National park, an alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, which is home to many thousands of pink flamingos and pelicans. This vitally important national park also protects the country’s largest population of endangered black rhinos, as well as large herds of buffalo. From lake Nakuru, your next stop is the obligatory Maasai Mara National Reserve is veritable lion country, With a little luck you can spot leopards lounging in trees, and cheetahs prowling around the savannahs, from Maasai Mara head south to Naivasha and visit the Hells gate National park swim in the hot water sulfuric swimming pool belonging to the geothermal energy plant. Then head south to the Amboseli national park for a wildlife drive through Kilimanjaro court. Against a back drop of Africa’s tallest peak, you will see dozens of elephants. From Amboseli it’s straight forward drive to the Tsavo West National Park and Tsavo East National Park. Kenya’s largest wildlife parks. As they are relatively undeveloped. Tsavo East and West are where you can truly have a wildlife experience. From here you can head down to the highway to ancient Swahili port of Mombasa, where you can either fly straight home or start a whole new journey exploring the Kenyan coast. Indeed, its’ just a short trip south west to the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary a small but important reserve that protects elephants migratory routes, and on to the densely forested Shimba Hills National reserve home to the rare antelope.

Sun, Surf and Swahili
Whether you’re interest in exploring the remaining vestiges of Swahili culture, or simply kicking it on the beach for days on end, don’t miss the chance to explore Kenya’s sun-drenched coast. From the coastal getaway of Mombasa City, the first stop head south is Tiwi beach, a tranquil white-sand paradise that is popular with independents travelers. Just down the road, you can head on to the package holiday destination of Diani beach for a taste of the more full-on rest experience. Near the Tanzania Border are the Funzi and Wasini islands provide a dose of real, unspoilt coastal life and also afford easy access to the excellent Kisite Marine National Park. Here you can spot the Dolphins each other it’s a wonderful complement to Kenya’s terrestrial wildlife destinations.

Back to the coastal trail make a quick stop in the charming town of Kilifi before pressing on to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve on the largest remaining tracts of indigenous coastal forest in East Africa. Further north are the Gede ruins and ancient Swahili City that dates back to the 13th century. Another historic town along the Swahili coast is Malindi, a 14th century trading post that is now one of the country’s leading beach destinations for Italian holiday makers. Your itinerary can end its peaks at the wonderful Lamu archipelago a veritable tropical paradise and Swahili heritage gem. One can take up the Summer Package staying in Mombasa and travelling to the Tsavo Park and back.

Roads Less Travelled: Desert Frontiers
This unbeaten trail winds through the harsh and barren landscapes around Lake Turkana, which dominates the northwest corner of the country. The Eastern getaway to this region is the small town of Isiolo, Just north of Mt Kenya. There are several good national parks and wildlife reserve in this area. One can plough through straight to the desert route and head up the rough road to Marsabit the dusty tribal centre of this remote area which boasts a fine national park. Assuming you are not tempted to hope over the border to Ethiopia at Moyale, a real wild frontier, take the western loop to Turkana via North Horr heading for the tiny lake side settlement of Loiyangalani a base for trips into even more remote parts of the country. From here the trail leads through again passing all kinds of scenic zones and the stopover towns of South Horr and Baragoi. It’s worth stopping for a couple of days in Maralal to replenish supplies and sample the joys of camel-trekking. Your could end your trip here but for the full effect, head up to the other side of Turkana, passing though the lush western area around marich to reach sweltering Lodwar and the lovely lake shore at Eliye Springs

When is the best time to spot animals?
When you visit Kenya’s parks and reserves, you’ll be spending a lot of time craning your neck and keeping watchful eyes out for animals and birds. There are a few telltale signs to note, as we as a few things you can do to maximize your chances of spotting the Big Five. Most are just common sense.

The best time to view wildlife to between 6.30am and 9.30am and from 3.30am to 6.30 pm. Cruzeiro Safaris makes sure they you during these timings. Wildlife drives in the mid of the day are unlikely to turn up much, (although there are popular parks such as Amboseli and Maasai Mara), animals are actually changing their normal hunting habits to avoid the tourist. When the tourists head back to the lodges for lunch, the carnivores go out hunting – in peace. In wooded country, agitated and noisy monkeys or baboons are often a sign that there’s a big cat (probably a leopard) around. Vultures circling are not necessarily an indication of a kill below. But if they are gathering in trees and seem to be watching something, you can reasonably assume they are waiting their turn for a go at a carcass.

One final note – taking longer safari is great, but endless long days peering out of a sunroof, on bumpy roads, in the heat, eating the same food stuck with the same people can take its toll quicker than you might think. Any animal you see on the first day will be exciting, though sooner or later most travelers will experience safari fatigue, that jaded feeling of ‘not another zebra, I wanna see a freaking leopard’. If this happens a few cultural activities and afternoon’s relaxations or even just a quick swim can do wonders for keeping things fresh. Or just take an air package especially for single travelers.

Nairobi and around highlights:
Spotting wildlife in the most incongruous of surroundings at the Nairobi National Park, Watch the gleeful group of baby elephants being bottle-fed at the David Sheldrick Wildlife trust, Tangling tongues with the rubber-necked ungulate at Giraffe centre, Broadening your appreciation of all things cultural and environmental at the National Museum, Surveying the Landscape from the grand heights of the Kenyatta Conference centre, Making the most essential foodie pilgrimage to the Carnivore and dancing it off at the Simba salon. Striking out for some proper exercise, walking through the incredibly scenic Ngong Hills, Visit the 2. And half hour away park to the Lake Nakuru national park.

High season in Krabi, Thailand to be record-breaking as new flights and accommodations abound

High season in Krabi, Thailand to be record-breaking as new flights and accommodations abound Krabi, Thailand’s popularity has grown so much in the past few years that pundits are predicting this year’s high season (November-April) will be record-breaking. As a result, airline companies and the hospitality industries are ramping up their offers.

Krabi, Thailand, October 13, 2014 — /EPR NETWORK/ — For years, Phuket, Thailand was the darling of tourism on the western shores of the Andaman Sea. Because of too much growth too fast, it became unpleasantly over-crowded and hectic. Krabi was the perfect alternative, with its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water, fewer crowds, plentiful activities and extraordinary attractions.

A Relaxing and Refreshing Vacation Destination

Krabi Province, located on the southwest mainland coast of Thailand on the Andaman Sea is comprised of several districts. Archaeological evidence shows humans inhabited the area 25,000-30,000 years ago. Its colorful history includes pirates, merchants and sea gypsies.

Visitors looking for a secluded beach have no trouble locating one on from the approximately 132 inhabited and uninhabited islands. Tourists can participate in a number of water-related activities, including kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving, shipwreck diving, sea cave exploration and fishing. The coral reefs are beautiful, and the sea is filled with exotic marine life.

The numerous and towering limestone cliffs draw rock climbers from around the world, with different levels of difficulty available, including climbs for beginners. Attractions include wildlife sanctuaries, natural hot springs, national parks, Buddhist shrines and temples, kickboxing matches, snake handling, shopping and more.

Travelers’ Demand Equals Additional Airline Routes
Before Krabi began to grow in popularity, most of the tourists came from Scandinavian countries and Europe. With positive economic changes in Asia, many travelers started coming from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and China, yet flights were few and far between. Recently, however, the airline industry has responded with a host of new routes and flights to Krabi.

In addition to their flights from Singapore and Bangkok that began last year, AirAsia just introduced a new round-trip route that flies between Guangzhou, on mainland China, and Krabi.

Malaysian Airlines, Bangkok Airways, and Tiger Airways have all increased the number of flights to and from Krabi, while the number of charter flights from Europe, Russia and Australia is also growing.

Krabi Nakharin Hospital, Krabi’s New First-Rate Medical Facility
Those travelers who fear that there are no advanced care medical facilities in Krabi can now rest easy. Krabi Nakharin is Krabi’s newly opened advanced-care hospital, rivaling the sterling reputation of the medical facilities in Bangkok. Knowing top-notch medical care is locally available is of great importance to older retirees and those planning extended vacations in Krabi.

The Growing Krabi Hospitality Industry
Just as there has been a need for additional airline flights to Krabi, there has been a need for more accommodations to house the growing number of visitors. With a lot of new construction, the hospitality industry has grown to be able to accommodate all the travelers coming to Krabi.

There are many different types of accommodations from which to choose: hostels, guesthouses, budget inns and hotels, boutique resorts, bed and breakfasts, and private villas. Big hotel consortiums, like the Ibis Styles Hotel with its newly opened 206-room facility, are coming to Krabi.

Krabi Beach House, New Rental Villas Offered by Krabi Riviera
Krabi Riviera Co., Ltd. is a well-established villa management and construction company in Krabi, Thailand, specializing in private luxury vacation homes. With the expected record-breaking high season and increased tourism, the company recently completed six new villas.

The Krabi Beach House is one of their newest editions. With enough accommodations to house 8-10 guests comfortably, it is the perfect holiday rental for a family reunion, a wedding, or a friends’ get-together.

Situated on a private beach, the villa has four individual, air-conditioned suites. All were built around the central living areas: a lounging TV/media room, a dining room, and open-air living space, providing maximum privacy and quiet.

The outdoors complements the beauty of the interior, with a private saltwater swimming pool surrounded by a deck that leads down to the landscaped gardens and the beach. Guests can use one of the villa’s two kayaks to paddle over to nearby Railay Beach, or arrange with the on-site concierge to have a longtail or speedboat pick them up at their private beach and take them to their desired location.

Pierre Yves Loriers, Managing Director of Krabi Riviera Villas said, “Krabi Beach House is the ultimate in private luxury villas. With its own fully equipped kitchen and beautifully appointed home sitting on a private beach, surrounded by lush gardens fronting the Andaman Sea, guests think they have found paradise on earth.”

As with all of Krabi Riviera’s other properties, the Krabi Beach House has wireless Wi-Fi Internet throughout the property, as well as 24/7 security.
The tourist industry is very excited about the coming high season, and all involved are prepared to ensure that travelers to Krabi have a memorable experience.

The Line Of Kings reopens on July 10th, re-displaying a magnificent collection of royal arms and armour, wooden horses and life-sized figures of kings. The Tower of London is one of the capital city’s most visited tourist attractions. The closest station is Fenchurch Street in the City of London and has the details of a huge number of hotels near Fenchurch Street that are available for booking.

The Line Of Kings features items that were originally used, much like the Crown Jewels, to convince the British people that Charles II should be allowed to return to the throne in 1660 after the period under which the country had been ruled by a Lord Protector, first Oliver Cromwell then his son Richard. It did this largely through a row of wooden effigies representing the kings of England. The display has been rearranged and dispersed around the country over the years, but the Tower is now bringing it all back together again to show it off in all its glory.

Highlights of the exhibition include the stunning wooden horses, many of which are hundreds of years old. There are also carved wooden heads of British kings stretching back to ancient times to emphasise the longevity of the British royal line. The magnificent armour that once belonged to Henry VIII has pride of place and is exhibited alongside armour worn by several other British kings, including King Charles and King James, as well as armour and weapons that once belonged to nobles and knights. The exhibition is at the White Tower and opens on July 10th. For more information about admission and prices please see, London’s premier website for inquisitive tourists.

Rare Chinese Paintings Unveiled at V&A

The V&A Museum in South Kensington have announced that Masterpieces of Chinese Painting 700-1900 will be their major exhibition this winter. The exhibition will show more than 70 works including some of the earliest surviving Chinese paintings, the majority of which are Buddhist banners and screens, and it will also feature many exceptionally rare works from international collections. Many of these masterpieces have never been seen in Europe before and they include what is considered to be one of the longest paintings in the world. The exhibition is open for advance bookings and tickets cost £12. For information on this and other exhibitions at the V&A see, where you can also find great details for hotels near Paddington and Victoria, both of which are a short tube ride from South Kensington.

In China, painting has always been as highly valued as poetry and philosophy and some of the earliest paintings were made to be viewed for only a very short time – perhaps only a few hours. Such works are rarely displayed, making this exhibition a rare opportunity for people in London to see beautiful paintings on silk and paper that have never before been made available to Western audiences.

The exhibition will unfold chronologically, starting with early religious-themed works painted largely by anonymous artists. Later rooms will include famous works such as the meticulous Landscape With Pavilion by Yan Wengui and Chen Rong’s fine scroll Nine Dragons. The exhibition will show the growing enthusiasm for the natural world and also the way artistic monks would combine painting, calligraphy and poetry in works laden with literary and philosophical references such as Wang Mians’ Fragrant Snow At Broken Bridge or the gorgeous Two Chan Patriarchs In Contemplation by Shi Ke. Later works will include the incredible Flowers On The River by BadaShanren, which is painted on a canvas that is 14 metres long and is one of the longest paintings in the world, and Portrait of GaoYongzhi As A Calligraphy Beggar by Ren Yi, which demonstrates the influence of European art on the Chinese tradition.

Open Garden Squares Weekend returns to London

Leafy London is celebrated on the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June with the opening of 215 private gardens all over the capital in the annual Open Garden Squares Weekend. Members of the public can visit a wide range of gardens located across 27 London boroughs – from historic, well-groomed, traditional squares in swish neighbourhoods to the new and experimental, including contemporary community allotments, roof gardens and ecology centres.

For a second year running, the manicured gardens at Number 10 Downing Street will be visited by those lucky enough to have won a special balloted tour. Other curious green-fingered guests can enjoy gardens as varied as the Thomas Cubitt-designed gardens of Belgravia’s regal Eaton Square and the industrial Kings Cross Skip Garden – a movable and self-sustaining vegetable, fruit and herb garden that is thought to be the first of its kind.

There are 24 new gardens on board for 2013 including the Diversity Garden community project (featuring an edible hedge) in North Lambeth and Freighliners Farm in Islington. Also standing out on the long list are numerous gardens belonging to historical buildings, institutions, restaurants, schools and shops, including barges and prisons. With so many usually inaccessible gardens opening their gates, visitors staying at one of the many cheap hotels in London featured on the website will find swathes of magical green spaces a mere stone’s throw away from their accommodation.

Many of the weekend’s featured gardens lay on a range of activities including jazz bands, village fetes and cream teas. Cadogan Place Gardens (SW1) will offer live entertainment from swinging 1950s band The Milkshakers while the Cadogan Hotel will be serving light lunches, afternoon tea and Pimm’s. Located between Knightsbridge and Sloane Square, Cadogan Place Gardens is one of 12 gardens to be offering live music over the weekend – others include Earls Court Square, Kensington Square and Russell Square Gardens.

Over 30 gardens during the weekend will have activities for children and families – including the delightful Lexham Gardens near Gloucester Road, which will welcome back its popular clown and magician show. For grown-ups, Arlington Square in Angel hosts a pop-up gin bar with garnishes of produce grown in the square, while the Brunel Museum in Rotherhithe will serve cocktails in their roof garden on both days of the event.

Tickets for this quintessentially English affair cost just £10 if purchased in advance on the official website, . Guests can also buy tickets at certain gardens on either day for £12. Guided cycle rides are available with Blue Badge Guides – or visitors may prefer to make the most of the Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme. If ever there was an outdoors event that lent itself to the use of Boris Bikes, it’s Open Garden Squares Weekend.

‘Family Holidays & Family Holidays Abroad’ Video by Tots to Travel Nears the 10,000 Views Milestone on YouTube in Under 3 Months

Tots to Travel released their Family Holidays video on YouTube on the 5th of January 2013, and in just over 2 months it is already nearly reached 10,000 views.

Tots to Travel is a travel company specialising in family holidays. The team take every care possible to visit and fully vet each and every holiday home on their books to ensure that they are suitable and safe for children under the age of five.

Tots to Travel was launched in 2006 after mother of three, Wendy Shand’s two year old son fell into an unenclosed swimming pool during a holiday abroad in 2005. “We were so frustrated by the lack of advice and information surrounding family friendly and safe accommodation and what facilities each location had or didn’t have. We knew that we weren’t the only parents finding this an issue, so we set up Tots to Travel to answer parents’ most pressing questions.” says Wendy.

As their YouTube video explains, Tots to Travel check every single holiday property for safety, quality and local facilities and support within the area. “Our aim is to take out the stress and worry that comes with booking family holidays. Tots to Travel find solutions to the common frustrations that mums and dads face when it comes to planning, booking and going on holiday with young children.” explains Wendy.

To find these solutions, Tots to Travel have a dedicated team of mums who are specifically trained using a system developed with the Child Accident Prevention Trust to visit and approve holiday homes and ensure they are all safe and child friendly.

“We want our families to have all of the information they need to be sure that their family will have a safe and highly enjoyable holiday. Our website has a wealth of information on our holiday properties, such as where the nearest supermarket is and how far away the beach is.” says Wendy. “Also, all of our holiday homes come with a Tots to Travel kit guarantee.” This means that all of the essential things that small children need will be waiting for them at their accommodation. “This includes items such as pool barriers, a high chair, baby and child cutlery, black out blinds, night light, everything that a parent would usually be struggling to fit into their suitcase.”

Tots to Travel have a variety of family holidays and accommodation’s to fit every family’s ideal holiday. “We have over 400 properties on our books, including cottages, villas with pools, chateaux’s…” says Wendy. Their Family Travel Experts take into account all of the clients requirements and needs and will work to match them up with their dream family holiday destination and accommodation.

“We know that our families aren’t after a package holiday sold to them by a sales rep. They want something bespoke that suits their family’s requirements and aren’t given that‘one size fits all’ tour operator approach. We have rural locations, beach side properties, somewhere to holiday with other families. We really listen to what our families want.”

Featuring images taken by service personnel, the exhibition gives the public an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at life in the RAF. The competition has been running at the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon for 23 years.

Winning images include dramatic shots taken in the line of active service, as well as more personal photos taken at home.
