Tour Operator launches Online Booking for Nairobi City Tours and Luxury Safaris

Nairobi, Kenya, 2018-Mar-01 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — Kenya’s tourism industry is booming in business and 2018-2021 is looking even better after recovery for a long time. Cruzeiro Safaris Kenya’s strength in packaging tours and committed service delivery is expected to increase in the future.

Undoubtedly, Kenya is the best African country for safari experience with lots and lots of wildlife viewing. For a long time Cruzeiro Safaris Kenya, has taken travelers to various destinations within Nairobi and tourist destinations within Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar.

The Tour Operator has for years utilized the distributions of International brands to marketer and distribute their tours on commission basis. The distributors had a competitive advantage in that the clients could read and book tours online to the last stage. They will still continue distributing through their online partners.

Cruzeiro Safaris Kenya saw this as an opportunity to exploit and dive into the big ocean of international brands. This challenge has been overcome and now this Online Tour Agency (OTA) and operator have launched their online tours booking platform in collaboration with payment getaway PESAPAL which is verified by VeriSign International. PESAPAL accept credit cards VISA and MASTERCARD and mobile money as well.

‘Delving into the online market is worth the risk, because Nairobi is become the hub for multi-national corporations, we believe we shall make significant strides in terms of sales revenue. Our service delivery remains top-notch and continuous priority as you can read from the trip advisor page and other pages. Just Google Cruzeiro Safaris Kenya’ says Susan the Tourism Manager.

ADVENTURE KINGS SOLAR PANEL RANGE – HOW MUCH POWER DO I NEED?

Sydney, NSW, Australia, 2018-Jan-15 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — When you need to recharge yourself and your 12V system, look no further than an Adventure Kings Solar charging system.

We have pioneered a range that starts from a simple 10W USB solar charger to a fully fledged 250W output array with MPPT Regulation for absolute maximum output to give you the options to power your setup no matter what you take camping with you.

All Adventure Kings Solar panels use Monocrystalline silicone cell construction which is the most efficient panel design available remaining lightweight and compact whilst still outputting effective power for use at home or in the bush.

We have fully standalone systems that include a solar regulator in both hard framed designs or the more flexible folding solar blankets which are excellent for space saving in the back of your vehicle or for emergency use.

We even have a fully customisable 110W Hard mounted system that includes fittings so you can easily and permanently mount it to your vehicle, camper trailer, campervan, caravan or boat with your choice of solar regulator.

We stock both the easy to operate low cost PWM style of regulator that has become the standard across the industry, or you can upgrade to one of our high efficiency, high output MPPT style regulators which gives you up to 30% more efficiency in cloudy or overcast conditions ensuring you get the most out of your solar setup no matter what the weather conditions.

Adventure Kings maintains its reputation for supplying functional camping setups whilst also still offering some of the most affordable solar setups available to the Australian market!

Whatever your 12V setup, Adventure Kings has a Solar charging system to efficiently top up your batteries and run accessories, with zero running costs and zero noise, whilst you kick back and relax and enjoy your favorite campsite in peace and quiet….When you are looking for a solar panel setup, you can’t look past an Adventure Kings Solar setup.

When you’re building a tourer or planning a campsite in your head, solar panels should always be a consideration – they are a source of free, limitless power after all – but how do you know what panel to choose!?

Luckily Adventure Kings has a wide range of panels, that won’t break the bank.

There are two main considerations to make when choosing a solar panel – how much power you use and how much space you have to pack your panel/s.

First, to calculate your requirements, consider how many 12 volt accessories you use at camp.

Generally all electrical products will have a wattage listed (check for a sticker near the power cord) you can use this wattage to calculate the real-time amps the product will use while it’s on. Some products may also list an Amp/Hour rating which simply gives an average on the total amount of amps used per hour the product is turned on. For example, the Adventure Kings 60L fridge/freezer is rated to use less than 1 amp/hour when the interior is set at 5°C and the outside temperature is 32°C.

So let’s work through an example:

You arrive at camp at 6pm on Friday, and it’s 32°C – your fridge is down to temperature at 5°C thanks to being plugged in while you drive and you’re ready for an icy cold beverage while you light the campfire, roll out your swag and set up the awning. Then you set up an Illuminator Strip Light and as the sun sets you turn it on and wind it down for ambient light.

As the temperature drops into the night your fridge will use less power, but every time you open it for a bevvy it has to work to cool back down again, so we’ll assume the fridge is using the rated 0.83Amp/Hours all night and into the morning. 6pm to 8am the fridge has used around 12 amp hours. The Illuminator strip light was on for 5 hours total and uses 0.4A at its low level for a total of 2A

So between 6pm and 8am you used 14 Amps total – whether you have a 98AH or 115AH deep cycle battery you’ve still got plenty of juice.

But throughout the next day your fridge will continue to use power. Between 8am Saturday and 8am Sunday it will use another 24 Amps. Add another 5 hours of strip light use for 2Amps and add in a phone charge using a cig socket USB adapter rated at 12W – that’s another Amp per hour your phone is on charge. In this case your phone is charged in 2 hours so that’s another 2Amps. Plus you use your Thumper to inflate some inner tubes to relax and float in the river – you use your Thumper for 15 minutes. To calculate the amps used per hour, you find the instantaneous power listed on the sticker (45Amps) and because you’ve used it for a quarter of an hour, calculate one quarter of 45. For this example we’ll call it 12Amp/Hours.

So Saturday to Sunday morning 8am you’ve used 40Amp/Hours – combine this with the Friday night total 14Amps and you’re looking at 54Amp/Hours – at this point your Deep cycle battery has used over 55% capacity if you’ve got the 98AH battery, and over 46% capacity if you’re using a 115AH battery.

You’re planning to leave camp at 4pm so the fridge still needs to be powered by your battery for a further eight hours. That’s another 8Amp/Hours, bringing the total weekend use up to 62Amp/Hours. 63% of your 98AH battery and 53% of your 115AH battery – you should definitely add a solar panel to keep those batteries charged!

Now you can look at the output of the different solar panels available.

4WD Supacentre offers a 110W fixed solar panel, a 120W Folding Solar blanket (with PWM regulator) a 160W Folding solar kit (with PWM regulator) and a 250W folding solar panel kit (with PWM regulator). The table below shows their maximum charging amperage (assuming the same PWM regulator for all panels) as well as the estimated total Amp/Hours after 6,8 and 10 hours of sun light.

So even six hours of sunlight on the Saturday and Sunday and your battery will have recharged at least 72A/H with a 110W Fixed Solar Panel (with added PWM regulator.) This would cover your power usage and keep your batteries charged. Of course, this is only a guide and your actual consumption may vary depending on many factors including, but not limited to, the outside temperature, fridge temperature, battery condition, wiring size and condition, solar panel angle and position etc etc.

The second consideration is the amount of space you have in your vehicle – for smaller vehicles, a 120W portable Solar blanket is perfect as it packs down to a compact size and still packs a punch.

For permanent mounting solar panels, the choice is obvious – a 110W fixed solar panel (or two!) These feature a thicker aluminium frame and don’t come with a regulator so you can connect your own, use a DC to DC charger and even connect multiple.

For bigger vehicle where space is less of a priority a 160 or 250 watt folding solar panel is ideal. You can set these at varying angles to catch the sun, and they mean you can park in the shade and have your panel in the sun doing the hard work! They also provide plenty of power for bigger camp setups or hotter conditions where your fridge is working more to keep your drinks cool.

Travel to Africa this Holiday season on a wise budget friendly Nairobi tours and Kenya Safari Packages

Nairobi, Kenya, 2017-Nov-02 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — Budget travelers are increasingly looking for holiday destinations on the internet opting to join other people for any Kenya safari package. Most Tourists use price as a major factor in deciding which safari company to use thus the idea to share the costs.

Over the past 8 months it has been reported that there has been an increase of requests by single and budget travellers on shared Safaris. Group bookings arranged to make travel and accommodation cheaper for tourists in Kenya have dominated this safari option, the groups are encouraged to charter planes at reduced airfares from Europe to Kenya to come and join Safari Ndovu 6 days safari package.

Featuring of the Safari Ndovu 6 day safari package by Cruzeiro-Safaris.com is a pocket friendly safari incorporating 2 national parks that is Amboseli National Park and Lake Nakuru National park, 1 game reserve Masai Mara National Reserve and 1 popular eatery attraction that is the carnivore restaurant in Nairobi. It is important for tourists to know the different wildlife terminologies used in Kenya such as National parks, game reserves and sanctuaries found in Kenya.

National Parks are set up and controlled by the central government. They are established by an Act of Parliament or through legal notice by the Minister concerned, in the government gazette. Its boundaries or existence can only be altered by similar legislative action. National Parks are managed and controlled by government agencies. The agencies collect entry fees to the parks, take care of the animals and assist in resolving the people animal conflict.

The Safari Ndovu 6 day Safari package visits 2 (two) of these National Parks namely Amboseli and Lake Nakuru National Parks.

Other Important National Parks are:

  • Nairobi National Park tour in Nairobi
  • Amboseli National Park Day trips from Nairobi
  • Lake Nakuru National Park Full day trip from Nairobi
  • Aberdares National Park Safaris from Nairobi
  • Tsavo East and Tsavo West Tours and Safaris from Mombasa

Other attractions in Nairobi

  • Elephant Orphanage Tour in Nairobi
  • Giraffe Center and Karen Blixen in Nairobi
  • Nairobi City Tour, national museum plus lunch

National Game reserves or National Reserves are set up and managed by the local authority where it is located. The local communities interact freely with the wildlife before such an area is declared a game reserve. Unlike National Parks, the local communities are allowed to live and graze their animals in game reserves. For example, the Maasai people live and graze their animals in Masai Mara without being restricted by the management of the park. Game reserves may also be set up and owned and managed by private individuals with special permission from the Central Government. In Laikipia district, there are several game reserves that are privately owned and fenced off from the public. The Government has little control over what takes place in the privately-owned game ranches. Whereas the government has banned game hunting, animals in privately owned ranches are slaughtered to provide game meat to major hotels in Nairobi and Mombasa under licence from the Central Government.

Wildlife Sanctuaries are areas that have been set aside for the protection of specific animals or birds if they are considered endangered for one reason or other. In an environment where elephants are threatened by poachers for example, a protected area is established and fenced off to host only elephants, where they are cared for and secured. Such an area is called an elephant sanctuary such as the Mwaluganje National reserve in Kwale District. The Safari Ndovu – 6 days package does not visit any sanctuary, however at Cruzeiro-safaris, one may request for a tailored safari to the Sweet Waters Sanctuary caring for Chimpanzees or any other Sanctuary.

Other safaris located in the best game drive view places

  • Mount Kenya and Masai Mara Safari by Road and Flights for 9 (nine) Days
  • Luxury Travel to the best choice of hotels and lodges in Kenya
  • Governors Camp in Masai Mara Safari package for 4 (four) Days flights

The one eatery attraction in the Safari Ndovu – 6 days safari package itinerary is called the Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi. Guests on the Amboseli National Reserve 3 days package safari or Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara 4 days package safari may join in or drop off on pre-organised group tours after a sumptuous meal at the Carnivore, featuring various kinds of game meat. Carnivore is also known as the meat eaters’ paradise.

Shimba Hills Tour from Mombasa and Diani
One of our guests from Russia who travelled to 1 park and 1 reserve had this to say on our trip advisor page:

Lake Nakuru & Massai Mara My wife and me spent 4 days at Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara Sopa lodges with Cruseiro. The pick up/drop off from NBO airport.

I like the concept when Cruseiro gives you the mini-bus with a driver who is also a very good guide and who always stays with you during your Safari. The driver/guide is absolutely flexible for you to get maximum pleasure from your trip. The mini-bus hasn’t been very comfortable but nearly all Kenyan safari operators use this type of Toyota vans as it’s realistically very reasonable for Kenyan roads.

Lake Nakuru lodge has a very picturesque location. We could watch rhinos fighting in 20 meters from our lodge window. Maasai Sopa although had much better kitchen. The only negative impression was extremely noisy neighborhood – Chinese in lake Nakuru and north American in Maasai Sopa.

Special thanks to our very experienced guide and driver Simon. We enjoyed his gentleman manners and good sence of humor. Simon did his best to please us up to the end of the trip. Besides, Simon has a very good feeling of where to go to see the best of the wild life. Many thanks to Andrew and Claudia as well. It was a great experience for us!

Kenya Elections
Kenya has just concluded its General Election in August, 2017. The tourism industry is set to compensate in the coming months from setback of negative reporting especially from international media channels. In some instances this is not the true state on the ground and only affects some areas cluster and NOT the whole country. Most tourist visited areas are not affected. We urge travelers to seek clarification from credible sources of the Kenya Foreign Missions in their Home country or Ministry of Foreign affairs of Kenya. However, we are optimistic that the work done in the past by Hon. Najib Balala and his teams all over the world will not decrease but increase in the coming months and years.

Popular Nairobi Tours, Trips and Attractions
Nairobi National Park Tours gains popularity with transit travelers and conference delegates in Nairobi, Kenya. Nairobi is a hub of meetings and conferences almost every week there are numerous meetings and conferences taking place. Cruzeiro Safaris has several hourly tours but the Nairobi National Park Tour with affordable prices has proved to be the top ranking and it’s forecasted to be till the end of the year. Nairobi National Park is home to many species of wildlife including endangered black rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse bird life. Nairobi’s skyscrapers can be seen from the park. Here are 5 Reasons to go on Safari in East Africa during the Shoulder & Low Seasons

  1. Save Money East Africa is not the cheapest of African regions to visit. As the traditional heartland of African wildlife safaris, the prices in East Africa are higher than in most Southern African countries. These higher costs can put budget conscious travelers off, but the good news is that prices drop during the off-peak times of the year, bringing these classical safari destinations within reach. One of the reasons prices fall is because mainstream travel advice is to avoid the rainy seasons and that winter game viewing is best. Also, most travelers tend to travel during the northern hemisphere summer and over Christmas and New Years.
  2. You can save between 20 and 40% on safaris outside of the high and peak season.
  3. It’s not just the safari packages that are cheaper in low season, the accommodation rates drop saving you money on pre and post tour accommodation. Activities are also offered at reduced prices, as are day trips.
  4. If you’re travelling independently in Kenya during low season you also have more leverage for bargaining and negotiating better deals too.
  5. Flights are also cheaper, due to lower demand! All-in-all it can make an otherwise too expensive Nairobi safari affordable. We are able to enjoy the amazing moorlands, the beautiful snowcaps, mysterious oceans and seas and incredible wildlife. However, it is our responsibility to ensure that whilst we enjoy the marvels of this world we should be conscious of maintaining the conservation of these wonders.

The shoulder seasons which fall between the low and peak periods offer similar advantages to the low seasons. Falling at the start and end of the rains, the shoulder seasons are often the best time to go on safari travel in Kenyas Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and in terms of balancing cost, game viewing, visitor numbers and weather. The shoulder season between the long and short rains – from January to March, is actually considered by some safari veterans to be the best time to go game viewing in Kenya and Tanzania.

Nairobi National Park Tour in Kenya is the most popular to transit travelers at Nairobi Airport including delegates

Nairobi, Kenya, 2017-Jan-31 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — The best and most popular areas in Africa for safaris are East Africa precisely Kenya which offers vast plains and roaming packs of extraordinary beasts.

Many travelers come to Africa in search of the “big five”: buffalo, lions, leopards, elephants and rhinoceroses. The chance to get close to these animals in their natural habitats is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but your trip to the Africa is anything but a trip to the zoo. Safaris can be physically taxing and strenuous, and you may not see all the animals you expected. Since most safari destinations are in developing sub-Saharan nations, travelers must take certain safety and health precautions. If you’re planning a safari (or just dreaming about it), be as prepared as possible. Get some good guidebooks, talk to friends who’ve been to Africa and research, research, research. We’ve outlined some important safari basics, from choosing a destination to getting vaccinated, to help you start planning a successful African adventure such as short trip to the Nairobi National Park which can be booked online through https://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/nairobi-national-park or through our partner online travel agency Get Your Guide Nairobi National Park Tour -link https://www.getyourguide.com/nairobi-l267/nairobi-national-park-full-day-tour-t11393/

Nairobi, Kenya, 2016-May-30 — /EPR Network/ — Going on safari in Kenya https://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/kenya and Tanzania https://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/kenya/14-nairobi-safaris/long-safaris/14-adventure-in-the-african-bush during the off-peak seasons is a good option that does not spell game viewing disappointment and miserable weather. In fact, travelling in the low seasons – the long rains from March to June and the short rains from October to December – is an enticing option. The wet seasons (March to June and October to December) also have luminous sunsets and plenty of animals nurturing their young excellent reasons to brave the rain (which, by the way, is patchy rather than perpetual downfall).”

Travel Destination for 2016 is Kenya -Get the thrill and plan Early

Nairobi, Kenya, November 09, 2015 — /EPR TRAVEL NEWS/ — Destination Kenya

Are there any destinations in the world which can evoke such powerful imagery as Kenya, one of East Africa’s premier destinations? Indeed, the acacia-dotted savannahs of Kenya http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/kenya re inhabited by classic African animals, from towering elephants and prancing gazelles to prides of lions and stalking leopards. The country also plays host to the annual migration, the largest single movement of heard animals on the planet. However, what makes Kenya truly stand out as a travel destination is the vast palette of landscapes that comprise this visually stunning country. While the flaunted image of the savannah of Maasai Mara perhaps the single key selling point for Kenya’s tourist industry, intrepid http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=226/ travelers can also explore the barren expanses of the Rift valley, the glacial ridges of Mt. Kenya http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=214/ and the beaches of the Swahili coast. This rich diversity of quintessential Africanhttp://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/safari-twiga environments present opportunity for hiking, trekking, diving sailing and so much more But to simply focus on Kenya’s wildlife and nature is to ignore the people that make this country so dynamic. Kenya is a thriving multicultural country with a wide cross-section of everything that is classic and contemporary Africa. Everyday life brings together traditional tribes and urban families, ancient customs and modern sensibilities. And, while much of the East Africa has suffered from bitter feud between divided ethnic groups, Kenya has usually been regarded as an island of stability in a trouble region. Kenya may be a somewhat more intimidating destination that it once was, but remains one of the undisputed highlights of Africa. Check your inhibition, ignore the hype, bring your sense of adventure and get ready for some truly inspiring and life-changing travel.

Planning a trip to Kenya is a pleasure in itself: the country is so versatile that it’s virtually a blank canvas, catering equally for the thrill-seekers and sun-seekers, budget backpackers and high-end rollers, those who like it tough and those who just want to get going. Whatever you do here, you’ll discover that it’s very straightforward to sort yourself out of the ground and advance plans are very necessary.

When to go to Kenya: The main tourist season is January, February and March, when the weather is hottest and driest. At this time, the animals in the wildlife parks tend to congregate more around the watercourses, making them easy to spot. However, the parks can get crowded and rates for accommodation soar –also make sure you avoid Christmas and Easter unless you want to pay much higher prices. From June to October, the annual wildebeest migration takes place, with thousands of animals streaming into the Maasai Mara National reserve from Serengeti. During the long rains (the low season April to May) things are much quieter.

Itineraries and Classic Routes
Classic routes put you face to face with the continent’s most charismatic creatures. Safari njema – have a good trip!
Departing from Nairobi, Kenyas capital city one can enjoy the Nairobi city tours at any point where low or high season. Our first port of call is Maasai Mara National Reserve http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/maasai-mara. Between July and October, the Maasai Mara plays host to the annual wildebeest migration, which offers a definitive slice of safari Africa. Even if you can’t time your visit to coincide with this epic event, the Mara is still worth visiting as the famous national park in Kenya. The northern trails leads to Samburu National Reserve http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/kenya/143-3-dayssamburu-by-road-lodges, a dusty, red, desert habitat that shelters’ species of animals not found elsewhere in Kenya. The safari trail continues down to Amboseli National Park http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/kenya/142-3-days-amboselinational-park-by-road, which is regarded as one of the best places in Africa to get up close and personal with the heads of grazing elephants.

In search of the big five
The ultimate goal of any safari-gore is to spot the Big Five, namely lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. While you’re going to have to put in a lot of hours to spot them all-particularly the elusive leopard – this itinerary will have you ticking them off the list in no time. Start your search at Lake Nakuru National park, an alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, which is home to many thousands of pink flamingos and pelicans. This vitally important national park also protects the country’s largest population of endangered black rhinos, as well as large herds of buffalo. From lake Nakuru, your next stop is the obligatory Maasai Mara National Reservehttp://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/maasai-mara-by-air-at-kichwa-tembo-tented-campwhich is veritable lion country, With a little luck you can spot leopards lounging in trees, and cheetahs prowling around the savannahs, from Maasai Mara head south to Naivasha and visit the Hells gate National park swim in the hot water sulfuric swimming pool belonging to the geothermal energy plant. Then head south to the Amboseli national park for a wildlife drive through Kilimanjaro court. Against a back drop of Africa’s tallest peak, you will see dozens of elephants. From Amboseli it’s straight forward drive to the Tsavo West National Park and Tsavo East National Park. Kenya’s largest wildlife parks. As they are relatively undeveloped. Tsavo East and West are where you can truly have a wildlife experience. From here you can head down to the highway to ancient Swahili port of Mombasa http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/about-mombasa-safaris-, where you can either fly straight home or start a whole new journey exploring the Kenyan coast. Indeed, its’ just a short trip south west to the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary a small but important reserve that protects elephants migratory routes, and on to the densely forested Shimba Hills National reserve http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/about-mombasa-safaris-/230-mombasa-half-day-shiimba-hills home to the rare antelope.

Sun, Surf and Swahili
Whether you’re interest in exploring the remaining vestiges of Swahili culture, or simply kicking it on the beach for days on end, don’t miss the chance to explore Kenya’s sun-drenched coast. From the coastal getaway of Mombasa City, the first stop head south is Tiwi beach, a tranquil white-sand paradise that is popular with independents travelers. Just down the road, you can head on to the package holiday destination of Diani beach for a taste of the more full-on rest experience. Near the Tanzania Border are the Funzi and Wasini islands provide a dose of real, unspoilt coastal life and also afford easy access to the excellent Kisite Marine National Park. Here you can spot the Dolphins http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/about-mombasa-safaris-/234-mombasa-one-day-wasini-dolphin-tracking-adventure-tourcrashing each other it’s a wonderful complement to Kenya’s terrestrial wildlife destinations.

Back to the coastal trail make a quick stop in the charming town of Kilifi before pressing on to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve on the largest remaining tracts of indigenous coastal forest in East Africa. Further north are the Gede ruins and ancient Swahili City that dates back to the 13th century. Another historic town along the Swahili coast is Malindi, a 14th century trading post that is now one of the country’s leading beach destinations for Italian holiday makers. Your itinerary can end its peaks at the wonderful Lamu archipelago a veritable tropical paradise and Swahili heritage gem. One can take up the Summer Package staying in Mombasa and travelling to the Tsavo Park and back.

Roads Less Travelled: Desert Frontiers
This unbeaten trail winds through the harsh and barren landscapes around Lake Turkana, which dominates the northwest corner of the country. The Eastern getaway to this region is the small town of Isiolo, Just north of Mt Kenya. There are several good national parks and wildlife reserve in this area. One can plough through straight to the desert route and head up the rough road to Marsabit the dusty tribal centre of this remote area which boasts a fine national park. Assuming you are not tempted to hope over the border to Ethiopia at Moyale, a real wild frontier, take the western loop to Turkana via North Horr heading for the tiny lake side settlement of Loiyangalani a base for trips into even more remote parts of the country. From here the trail leads through again passing all kinds of scenic zones and the stopover towns of South Horr and Baragoi. It’s worth stopping for a couple of days in Maralal to replenish supplies and sample the joys of camel-trekking. Your could end your trip here but for the full effect, head up to the other side of Turkana, passing though the lush western area around marich to reach sweltering Lodwar and the lovely lake shore at Eliye Springs http://www.cruzeiro-safaris.com/kenya/260-952-for-3-days-package-to-lake-turkana.

When is the best time to spot animals?
When you visit Kenya’s parks and reserves, you’ll be spending a lot of time craning your neck and keeping watchful eyes out for animals and birds. There are a few telltale signs to note, as we as a few things you can do to maximize your chances of spotting the Big Five. Most are just common sense.

The best time to view wildlife to between 6.30am and 9.30am and from 3.30am to 6.30 pm. Cruzeiro Safaris makes sure they you during these timings. Wildlife drives in the mid of the day are unlikely to turn up much, (although there are popular parks such as Amboseli and Maasai Mara), animals are actually changing their normal hunting habits to avoid the tourist. When the tourists head back to the lodges for lunch, the carnivores go out hunting – in peace. In wooded country, agitated and noisy monkeys or baboons are often a sign that there’s a big cat (probably a leopard) around. Vultures circling are not necessarily an indication of a kill below. But if they are gathering in trees and seem to be watching something, you can reasonably assume they are waiting their turn for a go at a carcass.

One final note – taking longer safari is great, but endless long days peering out of a sunroof, on bumpy roads, in the heat, eating the same food stuck with the same people can take its toll quicker than you might think. Any animal you see on the first day will be exciting, though sooner or later most travelers will experience safari fatigue, that jaded feeling of ‘not another zebra, I wanna see a freaking leopard’. If this happens a few cultural activities and afternoon’s relaxations or even just a quick swim can do wonders for keeping things fresh. Or just take an air package especially for single travelers.

Conservation efforts and Cruzeiro-safaris.com

The migration has seen its ups and downs in the current past years, with some conservationist stating is abuse of wildlife privacy. Well, the county authorities have nothing much to do about it because they are making money. The myriads of visitors coming into Kenya in July and August are mostly attracted by the annual migration which is truly a wonder to see.

cruzeiro3

First timers sometimes feel also crumpled up in a dungeon with tour vehicles and personal vehicles circling around the poor wildlife since everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the activity. Whereas it’s positive to have the revenue from the visitors, it’s also a negative impression to them as well due to their perceptions when they gathered the information to come to Kenya. Whereas the Kenya Tourist Board has done massive marketing campaigns to draw visitors into Kenya, the behaviors experience in the past 3 years has been wanting.  Contrary to the county councils reserve, the areas surrounding are referred to as the conservancies which are controlled and they follow defined rules and laws. Such as type of vehicle and color, constructions types and colors which must blend with the environment. Distance between one vehicle and another to the wildlife (there is no overcrowding vehicles where the wildlife are – in other words there is no harassing the wildlife)

In the conservancies definitely the wildlife is considered the king. The vehicles and lodges inside blend with the natural environment, there is s a lot of cohesion between the lodge owners the community and the wildlife, however not many international visitors know about these lodges, because they don’t concentrate on mass tourists but on private, personal discreet tourist and probably why they charge a bit more higher than the rest of the lodges/ camps. Responsible tourism is emphasized in conservancies so that the surrounding communities that live near the wildlife greatly benefit in terms of being part of conservations and revenue growth and improved livelihoods.

Our emphasis is on one camp known as the Olkeri Mara Camp located in the Siana Conservancy. The Olkeri Mara Camp had 12 ensuite rooms; 10 standard and 2 deluxe. Accommodation is of the luxury type and personal service to ensure that all ones need is take care of. Olkeri can be fully booked by families or private parties with prices ranging from USD150 per person sharing in the low season to USD290 in the peak season for years 2014/2015. At Olkeri Mara the cuisine ranges from African, continental, Japanese and Italian – sweet savory Italian meals by Chef GABRIELLE Ballaroto. Game viewing from Olkeri is done in 4 wheel drives and once can feast their eyes on wildlife and birdlife. Night game viewing drives are available as well as hiking safaris.  Visitors are encouraged to stay at least for 3 nights to maximize on what the Area has to offer on a typical drive in one if those days one can take a walking safari with an experienced Maasai guide from 4pm upto one of the sundowner point have some refreshments and then embark on a night game drive to arrive the camp at around 8.30pm for dinner and overnight. Cruzeiro-Safaris.com does offer packages to Olekeri Mara for 3 nights / 4days for middle and up market clientele. All prices depend on the season applicable. Please send a request to thesales department for more details.

The #TembeaKenya campaign by MagicalKenyapromos has created awareness in the Domestic tourism front where Kenyan citizen, residents and Expatriate staff can travel at very discounted prices. Take Advantage of the Presidential directive for tax rebates for corporate who pay for their staff holidays within Kenya. Cruzeiro-safaris are offering to Olkeri Mara 1-30June, 2014 Double Room Kshs.11000 on full board and 1st July-15th October Kshs. 16000 on full board. Group travel can be discounted.
